India: Muslim Cop in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat Suspended For Keeping a Beard Without Permission.
Intishahar Ali had been warned thrice to shave off or seek requisite permission for the same. However, the policeman did not seek permission and continued to keep the beard.
In a tweet an Indian journalist says, the police force also has a turban and bearded Sikh, and a Tilak on the forehead and a Hindus tying Kalava in the hand. Then why can’t a Muslim keep a beard in the police force? SP of Baghpat Police suspended Daroga Intishahar Ali for having a beard.
