Kashmir Voters Will Reject Politics of Personal Interests, Says Dr. Muzammil Iqbal

Gujranwala: Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) spokesperson Dr. Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi has said that the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections are of great importance, expressing confidence that the people of Kashmir will reject those who pursue personal interests and politics for personal gain.
Addressing an election convention in support of Jammu Kashmir United Movement (JKUM) candidate for LA-35 Jammu-2, Chaudhry Waseem Sadiq, in Gujranwala, Dr. Muzammil Iqbal urged voters to support PMML-backed candidates by casting their votes for the “Chair” election symbol on July 27. He said the party is committed to promoting politics based on public service and pledged that PMML would never disappoint the people.
He said Pakistan is passing through a critical phase, but regretted that the country’s political environment continues to be dominated by division, hostility, and confrontation. He said that instead of promoting unity and national cohesion, many political forces are contributing to further polarization.
He emphasized that PMML believes in inclusive and constructive politics aimed at bringing people together. He said the party’s political struggle is based on the principles of unity, public service, and national interest rather than personal or partisan agendas. He urged all political stakeholders to move beyond past differences and work collectively for Pakistan’s stability, progress, and prosperity.
He concluded that the country needs politics of unity, reconciliation, and service instead of hatred, revenge, and confrontation, adding that such an approach is essential for strengthening democratic institutions and addressing the challenges facing the nation.
